Julius Burl Campbell

Julius Burl Campbell, 83 of Emerson, Arkansas passed away peacefully, Monday, November 3, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Burl Campbell was born April 12, 1942, in Stillwell Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Emerson High School Class of 1960 and the University of Arkansas and worked as an electrical engineer in the aerospace industry. Over his career, he was involved in many notable projects during his employment with the Boeing Co., including the Apollo missions, Skylab, and the Space Shuttle.
He was a member of Canaan Land Church and served as Sunday school teacher, occasional pastor and deacon. His walk with the Lord was his most important pursuit, and he served as an example of a steadfast Christian father and husband.
Burl is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Vernon Campbell and Vera Campbell Sewell; brother, Allan Wayne Campbell; and a sister Barbara Bradley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carolyn Jeanette Campbell of Emerson; sons Johnny Kurt Campbell and wife, Sherri of Aledo, Texas, and Kelly Burl Campbell and wife, Anne of Denver, Colorado; brother Jerry Campbell and wife, Jeanette of Haughton, Louisiana; and sisters Janice Perry of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Pat Ware and husband, Harvey of Emerson, Arkansas; grandsons Brandon Campbell and wife, Jordan of Argyle, Texas, Taylor Campbell of Fort Worth, Texas, Dylan Campbell of Fort Worth, Texas, Benjamin Campbell of Rapid City, South Dakota; and granddaughter CorrieAnna Anderson and husband, Garrett of Bismarck, North Dakota; great grandsons, Riggs Campbell and Teller Campbell, both of Argyle, Texas, and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service at 1:00 PM, Pastor Ross Aldridge officiating, with a burial to follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Campbell, Taylor Campbell, Dylan Campbell, Ben Campbell, Jeff Campbell and Russell Sanders.
