Sherri Jane (Bendever) Hutcheson, 78 of Magnolia, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at her home.
Sherri was born August 27, 1947, in Valdosta, Georgia. She the manager of GNC for 13 years and was an active and faithful member of Central Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.
Sherri was known and loved for all her cooking and baking, and her elaborate tables of food for her family. Her family always looked forward to Christmas each year, especially the red velvet cakes she made for the occasion. Sherri was the "world champion stocking stuffer," creating over-the-top stockings as gifts each year.
She was so proud of her 3 grandkids who called her "MiMi' and loved them dearly. She was always generous with her time and energy, no matter how she was feeling. She cooked and worked to make everything happy and festive when all of her family was home.
Sherri is preceded in death by her parents Donald Eugene Bendever, Sr. and Mary Laura (Clifton) Bendever and a brother Donald Eugene Bendever, Jr.
Sherri is survived by her husband Jimmy Hutcheson; son Kevin Hutcheson and wife Jennifer of Camden; daughter Holly Johnson and husband Brian of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother Jimmy Bendever of Houston, Texas; sister Kima Tatum of Acworth, Georgia; three grandchildren, Cade Johnson of Edmond, Maddox Hutcheson and Maitlen Hutcheson both of Camden; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to especially thank her caregiver, Carmen Tomlinson, the nurses and staff at the Griffin House at Wentworth, and the nurses and staff at Enhabit Hospice.
Visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Antioch East Cemetery with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM with Ray Hearron officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Central Baptist Church, 207 West Union Street, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753 or to Antioch East Cemetery c/o 1070 Columbia Road 295, Magnolia, Arkansas 71753.
