2025. She was born on August 3, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas, grew up in Lytle, TX and attended
Lytle and Devine High Schools graduating in 1962, going on to business school and working for
Southwest Research before starting her family with Ronald "Punkin" Smith.
Bitsy has been reunited with her husband, Ronald "Punkin'" Smith, her parents Howard
"Buddy" and Pauline Howell, her sister, Janet Ward.
Bitsy loved her cats, gardening, and traveling with Punkin.
Bitsy's children, Chuck and Rebecca and their families invite family and friends for a memorial
service for both Mr. Ronald Charles Smith and Mrs. Gladys Smith at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Crossroads Church, 3910 West Ave., San Antonio.

A Sister-in-law of the best kind. Bitsy was a best friend above all, when Ron wasn't available I could always talk to Bitsy about anything. She was always kind to anyone she would meet, we had some great times together.
I"ll miss you Bro-et.
