Gladys Marie Stoup

Gladys Marie Stoup, 82, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Coffman Nursing Home.
Born Friday, February 19, 1943, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Charles Earl Summers and Mary Gladys (Reed) Summers.
Gladys graduated from North Hagerstown High School and later from Hagerstown Business College. She was employed as the Administrative Assistant for Grace United Methodist Church for many years, where she was also a lifetime member. She was a former member of Community Rescue Service in Hagerstown and was one of the first women EMT's in the area.
She is survived by her son, John R. Stoup and spouse Robin, son, David Christopher Stoup and spouse Stephen, daughter, Marianne Denise Mills and spouse Mark, grandchildren, Kylie D. Caviness and spouse Stephen and Johnna L. Stoup and fiancé Austin, great grandchild, Marley Grace Caviness.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Carroll Summers, sister, Eileen Mose, brother, Alfred Summers and brother Edward Summers.
Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. Dionne Hall officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
