Glen Edward Bowling was born April 23, 1940 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Charlie Bowling and Rosa Proffitt Bowling. He was united in marriage to Laura Rudder Bowling who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Howell and husband Daniel of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Grace, Roxanna, and Gilford all of London, Kentucky, Chasity and Stacy both of South Dakota; as well as many great-grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents and spouse, he was preceded in death by his two children, Sammy Bowling and Glenda Owens; a granddaughter, Carmen; and many brothers and sisters, Earl, Ted, Clayton, Kittie, Ray, Mildred, Leroy, Martha, Mary, Donald, Robert, and Troy.
Glen was a devoted follower of the Christian Faith and a member of Arthur Ridge Baptist Church and he was a factory worker at Caron Spinning.
Glen Edward Bowling departed this life Tuesday, February 21, 2023 being 82 years, 9 months, and 29 days of age.
The funeral Service for Glen Edward Bowling will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Adam Fugate and Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky.
The family of Glen Edward Bowling will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home, Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Jim Howard, Terry Abner, Roger Blanton, Daniel Howell, Gill Owens, Terry Web.
