Arthur Glen Overman was born May 1, 1945 in Lexington, TN, the son of the late John Gillis Overman and Lula Mae Overman.
He was united in marriage to Bonita Jones on January 1, 1978.
Glen was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. Glen's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He dedicated many years to his career as a salesman using his skills to forge lasting relationships with those around him.
In his leisure time, he found great joy in fishing, a passion that brought him peace and happiness. His love for the outdoors reflected his gentle spirit and appreciation for nature.
Mr. Overman departed this life on October 9, 2024 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 8 days.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita Overman of Selmer, TN; a son, Eric Overman and wife Elizabeth of Daphne, AL; daughter-in-law, Joan Overman of Bainbridge, GA; seven grandchildren: Nathaniel Overman of Sale Creek, TN, Scott Overman and fiance Stephanie Rodriquez of Orlando, FL, Jill Kirk and husband Brandon of Muscle Shoals, AL, Paige Overman and fiance Colby Whitaker of Bainbridge, GA, Kara Overman of Bainbridge, GA, Nicholas Overman of Canton, GA, Anderson Overman of Daphne, AL; a great-grandchild, Lucas Kirk of Muscle Shoals, AL; bonus granddaughters, Sophia and Julianna Rains of Daphne, AL; two sisters, Nadine Miller of Bay City, TX, Elsie Marshall of Oceanside, CA; a brother, Wayne Overman and wife Sherry of Lexington, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Overman was preceded in death by two sons, Arthur Glen Overman Jr. and Jim Overman; a grandchild, Brittany Overman; two sisters, Mary Phillips and Imogene Buck; four brothers, John Lee Overman, Leon Overman, Joe Harold Overman, and Ralph Overman.
