Glen Harlan Riley

Glen Harlan Riley, 88, of Olathe and formerly of Meriden and Oskaloosa, passed away riday, December 15, 2023 at St. Luke's South Medical Center in Overland Park. Glen was born January 1, 1935 at Atchison, the son of Paul Harlan and Hazel C. Nettleton Riley. He was a 1953 graduate of Oskaloosa High School. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of the Korean war serving from 1953 to 1956. He was a member of Ozawkie American Legion Post #225, a life member of the V.F.W., and a member of the Moose Lodge in Topeka. Glen worked at Goodyear Tire Company in Topeka, starting out as a machinist and retiring in 1994 as a Yard Maintenance Man, after 31 years.
Glen is survived by a son, William "Bill" (Erica) Riley, Silver Lake, a foster son, Daniel Beaty, Dallas, TX, his caretaker and companion, Patricia Dick, Overland Park, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Riley, Raymond Riley, an infant brother and a foster son, Keith Burgett.
Craemation Care is planned. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Barnett Family Funeral Home, Oskaloosa.
