Glen Witt Obituary
Glen E. Witt, 86 of Moorhead, MN passed away on January 18, 2025, at Essentia Health Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Glen Everett Witt was born November 24, 1938, in Moorhead, MN to Everett and Adeline (Halverson) Witt. Glen grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead State Campus School. Glen worked various jobs before accepting a position at Tallman Oil in Fargo, ND. He later went to work for JR Simplot Company providing area farmers with fertilizer and other chemicals. Glen very much appreciated not only the business relationships, but the friendships gained through his time with Simplot.
Glen married Sharon Johnson in 1979. Together they enjoyed taking road trips and visiting family. Glen also enjoyed riding snowmobiles and his Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
Glen is survived by his wife, Sharon; children, Shannon Booker, Salt Lake City, UT, Michele (Chuck) Coney, Wolverton, ND, David (Nisreen) Witt, Newport Beach, CA; step-daughters, Margaret Johnson, San Francisco, CA, Katie (Chris) Miller, Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Quincy and Sasha Booker, Garrett and Kellen Mortenson, and Dylan and Zane Witt; and step-granddaughter, Caroline Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lois, Joyce, Duane, and Lyle; and granddaughter, Jessica.
A gathering will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 2-4 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Final resting place will be in Elmwood Cemetery Columbarium, Sabin, MN at a later date.
