Glenda Joy Galbreath, 65 of Goshen, IN passed away on Friday, March 28,2025 with her family by her side at Parkview Regional Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. Glenda was born on October 14, 1959.
Glenda had a servant’s heart; she worked as a CNA at ADEC and at several nursing homes, where she helped to take care of patients. She enjoyed planting and watching her beautiful flower garden grow and feeding the birds. Glenda always kept busy by knitting, embroidering or simply coloring. She loved to spend time with her family and her friends and will be sadly missed.
Glenda is survived by her children, Amber (Josh) Smothers, Jessie (Jeremiah Shaw) Acosta and Tyler Waddell; siblings, Loretta (Matthew) Schlabach, Norma Jean Howard, Kathy Sawyer, Darlene Sawyer, Herb Miller, Hubert Miller and Connie Kauffman; grandchildren, Kaiden Acosta, Tony Smothers, Takoda (Luca) Watts, Kohen Acosta, Emmalie Acosta, Lucas Shaw, Cole Smothers and Elliea Acosta. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Marie Zook and her biological dad, Teb Sawyer, siblings Alicia (Sawyer) Staton, Vic Sawyer, Duane Zook and her daughter Holly Waddell.
Visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Faith Mennonite Church, 727 New York Street, Goshen, IN 46526 where funeral services will be held at 3pm with Pastor Kay Bontrager-Singer and Pastor Mariah Martin will officiate.
