Glenda Strickland Gasque, 80, went to her heavenly home Saturday, July 26, 2025 after a brief illness. She was born July 19, 1945 in Green Sea, a daughter of the late Reverend McLeod Strickland and Agnes Rogers Strickland.

She was also predeceased by her siblings, Frances Ward, Sylvia Beckham and Larry Strickland.

Glenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She made an impact on everyone who met her and was loved by all. God and family were her priorities.

Mrs. Gasque is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, J. C. Gasque; children, Gregg Gasque (Sheryl), Wendy Edwards (Kevin) and Mike Gasque (Shonda); brother, C. M. Strickland (Barbara); grandchildren, Keith Gasque (Brooke), Briggs Gasque (Lexi), Taylor Arrigoni (Paulo), Logan Parker (Duncan), Madison Beahn (Dakota) and Hayden Gasque; eight great grandchildren and many other family and friends, including her best friend, Wanda Dew, who will miss her.

Funeral Services will be held 11am, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Watson Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Dale Manning and Rev. Allen Goodman officiating.

Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
