Glenda Ballenger Hicks, 79, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born on August 19, 1946, in LaFayette, Georgia, the daughter of the late Henry Grady Ballenger and the late Jewell Inez Hall.
Glenda was a waitress at several restaurants in Douglasville, GA, where her career spanned over 30 years. She loved to collect cookbooks and enjoyed eating good food at Hudson's. Glenda also enjoyed spending her time going to yard sales and thrift stores.
Glenda's love was her family, her son and her grandchildren held her heart.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers Gordon Ballenger, Bobby Joe Ballenger, and Jimmy Ballenger; and sisters, Tina Ballenger, Barbara Ann DiGuardi and Shelia Ballenger.
She is survived by her son, James Eugene Keene and his wife Valerie of Carrollton, GA; two grandchildren, Tiffany (Zayne) See, and Cody Keene; one great grandchild Sawyer and many nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
