Funeral services for Mrs. Glenda Stephens, of Gilbert, will be 2:00PM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Gilbert with Bro. Bobby Ensminger officiating. Interment will follow at South Central Baptist Cemetery in Wisner under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the church.

Mrs. Stephens was born April 16, 1941, in Ottumwa, IA and passed from this life on January 5, 2026, in Winnsboro, LA at the age of 84. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, she was a tax preparer, along with other clerical jobs throughout her life, and she also coached softball in her younger years. She enjoyed quilting, genealogy research, football, and most of all, spending time with those she loved dearly. Glenda was a plain-spoken person, leaving no questions to her thoughts or opinions if asked. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul LaPoint and Juanita McKitrick LaPoint; one son, Richard Wayne Coffin; her brothers, Howard LaPoint, Richard LaPoint, and John LaPoint; and her sisters, Marilyn McLaughlin, Vi LaPoint and Jerri LaPoint.

Survivors include her husband of over thirty-seven years, Grady Stephens, of Gilbert; her children, Elaine Houston and husband, Robert, of Delhi, Kirk Coffin, of Gilbert, Mike Stephens and wife, Kay, Jeff Stephens and wife, Barbara, Deborah Gibbs, all of Gilbert, Keith Stephens and wife, Ashley of Winnsboro, and Jason Stephens and wife, Tiffany of Plano, TX; one sister, Willa Stanley and husband, Ron of Hedrick, IA; five grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Catelynn, Stephanie, and Jacob; also survived by a host of step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Lowe, Marty Roberts, Randy Sewell, Greg Tabor, Jacob Houston, and Dusty Ward. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Sewell, Gary Martin and Ted Holder.
