Glenn Leon Bell was born on February 22, 1934, in Zyba, Kansas, to Arthur and Lenora Bell. He departed this life on December 1, 2025, while residing in Wichita, Kansas. Glenn was a man of remarkable character and many talents. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a funny, smart, and hard working individual. His ambitious spirit was evident not only in his professional pursuits but also in his personal life.
Raised in
Wellington, Kansas, Glenn proudly served in the US Army for two years before embarking on a successful career as a Broadcasting Engineer. For 31 years, he was the backbone of KSN TV as their Chief Engineer. His ambitious nature led him to start Bell Marine, a boating business that he successfully ran for over 15 years. He formed Bell Consulting Inc., a company specializing in the construction of cellphone, TV, and radio towers. Glenn was also a smart investor, acquiring 12 pieces of farmland in 5 different counties through auctions.
Glenn was not only defined by his professional success but his love for life and family. He was a dedicated husband and father who enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved to garden, fish, hunt, golf, and farm. Boating and skiing at Kaw and Keystone Lakes were among his favorite pastimes. He was known to ride dirt bikes with his friends and enjoyed flying. He had a private pilot license., showing his adventurous and vivacious spirit.
Glenn is survived by his children, Gregg (Tricia) Bell, Kelly (Gary) Peters, and Scott Bell, and his grandchildren, Joshua (Brooke) Bell, Matthew (Audra) Bell, Jessica (Harley) Mostaffa, Audra (Jeeps) Baker, Shelby (Blake) Downing, Zachary (Karie) Bell, and Jet Bell. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Brecken, Greysen, Cooper, Carter, Callahan, Vivian, Cora, Charlotte, Jace, Adlen, Wyatt, and Molly. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lenora, his beloved wife, Vivian, his brother, Raymond, and his granddaughter, Niki.
A memorial service to celebrate Glenn's life will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 10:30AM at Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 1030 Mission Road,
Wellington, Kansas, 67152. A private family inurnment will take place at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in his memory to PBS Kansas Channel 8. Contributions may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
