Glenn Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell Funeral Home - Gloucester on Dec. 20, 2021.
GLOUCESTER - Glenn A. Davis, best known as "Nadar", age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, December 16, 2021 at Beverly Hospital. Born in Gloucester, he was the son of the late Arthur and Barbara (Veno) Davis. He attended West Parish Elementary School, Central Grammar and Gloucester High School. In his youth, Glenn enjoyed being a member of the Cub Scouts.
From a young age Nadar was extremely hardworking. His first job was working for Means Chevrolet where he handled cleaning and taking care of the dealership's cars. He then went on to Bill Allen Trucking where he worked alongside his older brother Roy. He also worked for Leaman Landscaping and Farm Creek Landscaping & Construction Company. He enjoyed freelance landscaping with various friends. In later years, he worked for Hiltz Rubbish Company until he was no longer physically able to work.
Nadar lived and died on his own terms. He was well known around Gloucester, because he walked everywhere and was picked up along the way many times by others. Glenn had a genuine heart and truly cared about his family and other people. He would help anyone who needed it and would share whatever means he had. Unfortunately, Nadar never had children of his own, but he treated his nieces and nephews like his own and cared deeply about how they were and what they were up to. He enjoyed collecting model cars for many years as well.
Surviving him are his three siblings and their families, Roy Davis of Bradenton, FL and his daughter, Donna Davis of Wenham and her children, Ethan and Emma; Faye Medina Corrao of Gloucester and her children, Frank Viator of Maryland and his wife, Casey and their children, Cameron, Michael and Arthur, and Jose Medina of Gloucester; Lee Davis of Salem and his wife, Maureen and their children, Matthew and his fiancée, Tiffany of Nashua, NH, Lauren Thompson and her husband, Nate, and Shannon of Salem; his late brother David's children, Emily and Colton of Ipswich; and his longtime friend, David Gibbs of Gloucester, and many other friends. He was predeceased by his brother, David and his brother-in-law, Andrew Corrao Jr.
Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in Glenn's name may be made to the Open Door, 28 Emerson Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930 or the Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930. Arrangements by the Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle St, Gloucester. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
