Glenn Wayne Frazier, Sr., age 77, stepped into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, after a 2 ½ year courageous battle with Cancer and is now healed and out of pain! He passed peacefully in the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick – Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Bolivia, North Carolina.
Glenn was born and raised in the Wake Forest Church of God where he learned the exciting stories of God's people and the importance of honesty, integrity, family and helping all of mankind which were also the traits taught by his parents, Marvin C Frazier (age 96) and Lara F Frazier, (age 71) who preceded him in death. He was an extremely outgoing, talented young man with the gift of a photographic memory. His teachers used to get very frustrated with him for reading (rather than listening) in their class; however, when they asked a question, he knew the answer (even though he was not listening). While attending church, he met his first love and later wife, Dovie Griffin. After being smitten, this talented young man failed his grade (on purpose), to spend one more year in classes with her. After studying accounting, working in the corporate world, and raising two sons, his journey with Dovie ended. God sent him his second love of his life, the most devoted wife a man could have, Wanda Biszantz Kistler whom he shared 33 years together taking care of each other. The love, support and devotion between them was seen and shared with their five children.
He loved reading, dancing, designing, mentoring others and working with his hands. He also liked talking with people and being members and leaders of the Caswell Beach Turtle Watch. He worked for Amoco Credit Card Center in Raleigh as a Manager for ten years. He moved on to work with Automatic Vending Service (AVS) for many years managing the bottled water division. After retiring he moved to Oak Island, NC and became a Realtor and Condominium Maintenance Manager. He loved living and working in Oak Island area. He became well known at many of the restaurants in the area and developed lasting friendships. He was also able to share his love for Oak Island with visitors that came looking for a vacation spot or a vacation home. He also loved to share a group text nightly with his sister, Judy and brother Mike asking about their day and teasing them about something. Those texts slowed in July 2024, when his cancer decided to show its ugly head again. Those sparing sessions will be sorely missed by his siblings. Glenn was a man who took family and his responsibilities seriously.
He leaves a multiple listing of devoted family and friends. He leaves cherish his memories, his devoted wife Wanda B Frazier of Bolivia; two (2) sons: Glenn W. Frazier, Jr. (Adria) of Walterboro, SC; Marvin Lee Frazier (Tina) of Metairie, LA; three (3) step-children: Wendy K. Hargrove of Leland, NC; Jamie Kistler (Amber) of Burlington, NC; and Neil Kistler of Burlington, NC; two (2) grandchildren: Daylon M. Frazier (and partner Alicia) of Greensboro, NC; Gunner Frazier of Metairie, LA; eight (8) step-grandchildren: Phaedra Payoute of Walterboro, SC; Zach Smith of Charleston, SC; Averi Kistler of Hampstead, NC; Mary Jo Beth Kistler of Burlington, NC; Gabriel B. Kistler of Burlington, NC; Ryan Smith of Leland, NC; Sydni Smith of Raleigh, NC; and Aaron Smith of Leland, NC; two (2) siblings: his sister, Judy F. Mims (Bobby) of Wake Forest, NC and brother Michael L. Frazier (Mary) of Raleigh, NC; his former first wife, Dovie Griffin Feher (Dave) of Little River, SC; and former daughter-in-law Pearl E. Frazier of Wake Forest, NC. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family wishes to thank his Duke Medical Center oncology team, Dr. Christopher Holmes, Patrick Corrigan, FNP-C, MSN, Dr. Trey Mulliken, MD and his Wilmington Health doctors Stephanie Collins, PAC and Dr. Robert Johnson and God for the extra 2 ½ years he was able to spend planning, preparing and enjoying life. We also want to thank the staff of the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick – Lower Cape Fear LifeCare for the excellent end-of-life care, concern and respect that was given to Glenn and the other family members.
The family also appreciates the food, calls, cards, concerns and visits of each of our friends and family members during this challenging time of loss. Till we see you again!
A visitation service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm for family and friends in the Oak Island and the surrounding areas at the Brunswick Funeral Services at 3479 Southport/Supply Rd, NE, Bolivia, NC 28422

We met Glenn when we purchased our condo at The Palms in 2011. We became friends after that and he ended up finding us a lot to build our house on the island. He kept an eye on our place when we were not in town and also cut the grass at the house when we needed him. A good man who will be missed.

Glen was a friend to Jo and I for all the time we have been at The Palms at Long Bay. He was such a help to us when we needed something fixed. We will always cherish his visits.

Glenn was so special to Roberto and I. He sold us our condo in September of 2009. He said all I need to take are my binoculars and the rest is yours. Loved seeing him when he was around and was such a pleasure to talk to. You will be missed Glenn. Hugs my friend!!

Our deepest condolences to all of you. My husband and I knew Glenn from the Palms at Long Bay. When my dad was alive, he enjoyed visiting with Glenn, as well. He was so kind and helpful. We miss him around the property! Mike and Kim Huck
