Glenn Leroy Haneline Jr., 85, passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2025. He was born in Huntington, IN on February 29, 1940, a son of the late Glenn Sr. and Hilda Haneline.
He had a lifelong passion for vintage cars, attending car shows and owning classic vehicles, which was one of his greatest joys. In his spare time, Glenn also enjoyed woodworking, even building his own home, showcasing his skill and dedication. He was also a member of the Waynedale Church of Christ.
During his working years, Glenn was employed at Wayne Candy for over 30 years, later retiring from Zollner Piston.
Glenn is survived by his wife of over one year, Penny Eley; children, Scott Haneline, Staci Ross, Stefanie Figg, Chris Haneline, Mindy (Patrick) Stouffer, Travis Haneline, and Martin (Rita) Haneline; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Haneline, and three sisters: Doris, Selma, and Donna.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46804, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Entombment will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice.
