ALEXANDRIA, IN – Glenn R. Reasor, 94, entered peace and rest on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from the Primrose Memory Care Center in Anderson following a 2-week illness.

He was born on July 5, 1931, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to Tate and Willie (Crabtree) Reasor and has resided in the Alexandria area for the past 58 years. Glenn served his country by joining the United States Army in 1948 when he was 17. He was overseas for 2 ½ years during the Korean War. He was in the 187th Quartermaster Company Airborne RCT. He also was a member of the Indiana National Guard. Glenn retired from Fisher-Body in Marion in 1992 after 35 years employment. He was in skilled trades in truck repair and design. He enjoyed CB, where his handle was "Sandman" and Ham radio operating. He was a member of the Madison County Amateur Radio Club and the Anderson Repeater Club. He was also a member of the Alexandria Eagles, the Alexandria Gun Club and the National Rifle Association. He was an avid fan of John Wayne and black and white TV westerns. Glenn was of a giving personality. He worked on an ice cream truck during one of the factory layoffs. He was so moved by the number of children coming to the ice cream truck. Glenn just bought all the ice cream and gave it away to the children. There was always room for an extra plate at the Reasor table. Glenn was a devoted family man, where he particularly cared for his in-laws and his parents, in addition to his beloved wife and children. "Hard working hands have laid to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
