SUMMITVILLE, IN –In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 6, 2025, Morris D. "Morrie" Hull, 80, met his Lord and Savior face to face from his residence following a 2-year illness.

He was born on January 7, 1945, in Alexandria to Colonel and Elizabeth (Morris) Hull and was a lifetime Summitville resident. Morrie was a graduate of Summitville High School-Class of 1963. He worked for General Motors from 1964 to 1970. He dedicated the rest of his life to planting and harvesting God's nature by farming for more than 63 years. He had been active in the Summitville Baptist Church where he had been song leader for some time. More recently, he had attended the Alexandria First Baptist Church. Morrie was always quick to share his wit, positive outlook and his faith and he never met a stranger. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing coffee time with his friends at the Circle K in Summitville He enjoyed camping and spending summers at their lake house in Morgan County. An avid fly fisherman, Morrie also made his own flies and lures. He was a follower of Purdue athletics and the #1 fan of his grandchildren's athletic activities. We will miss his ornery sense of humor; we are also comforted knowing that his faith in Jesus Christ has made Morrie whole.
