Glenn Wayne Sewell Sr.,75, left his earthly home peacefully and entered into heaven on March 30, 2026. Glenn was born in Monroeville AL, but moved to Mobile during his early childhood. He loved playing baseball & fishing growing up. He mainly worked as a handyman during his adult life for different companies. After retiring, he spent his days watching baseball, western television and listening to his favorite bluegrass gospel and country music. He loved to go fishing, cheer on the Auburn Tigers, and spend time with friends & his grandchildren. During his last few years he was a resident of the Leakesville Rehab and Nursing facility in MS. He was nicknamed "Mayor" and spent his days playing cards and coloring.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bill & Annie Lou Sewell, his brother Willie "Ray" Sewell, and sisters Maxine Denham & Judy Nielsen. He is survived by his children Glenn Sewell (Jenny), Kristin Tillman (Stephen), and William Brandon Sewell (Tammie); his grandchildren Aaralyn McCarty, Genessa McCarty, Ella Sewell, Emma Sewell, Everleigh Sewell, Annaleigh Sewell, Harlan Sewell, and Barrett Sewell; his siblings, Doug Sewell (Jeanne), and Glenda Wilczewski (David); several nieces, nephews and friends.
He rolled through life with stories to tell that made you laugh until you cried, all the way to the end. . A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Mr. Sewell's life will be held April 11th at a private location, with family & close friends.
