Juanita "Nita" Moore Dority, a native of Enterprise, MS, and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2026, at the age of 93.
Born on September 10, 1932, to Ira and Addie Moore, Juanita graduated from Jones Junior College in 1952, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She met her husband Ted Dority in earlier years in their small town community and later married in May of 1954. Together, they shared a love for travel and spent many happy seasons cheering on the College World Series.
Known for her extraordinary kindness, Juanita had a deep passion for the Lord and was a devoted "prayer warrior." She was the guiding light for her family, holding them steady with her unwavering faith and love.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ted R. Dority; her parents, Ira and Addie Moore; her brother, Lamar; and her sister, Frances.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Theresa) Dority; her daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Reed and Robin (Anthony) Smith; ten grandchildren: Hayden (Brandon), Halie (Jason), Christy, Cori (Chase), Anna (Hunter), Maggie, Stephenie (Ryan), Bailey, Addie (Matthew), and Porsha; and seven great-grandchildren: Ren, Harris, Emma, Liv, Annie, Oscar, and Jennings. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
