Glenn R. Smith

Glenn R. Smith, 79 of Rushville passed away Monday, January 19th at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville, IL. He was born November 29, 1946, in Beardstown, IL the son of Edward "Buck" Smith and Goldie Gabert Smith. He married Brenda Palmer, December 8,1967 in Beardstown, IL. He is survived by (1) son Troy Smith of Rushville, IL; (2) daughters Amanda Sherwin (Troy) of Whitehall, IL and Olivia Lisenbee (Chris) of Beardstown, IL; (1) brother Willie Smith (Trish) of Cuba, IL; (2) sisters Alice Huggins (Ed) of Canton, IL and Rose Ann Blakley of Columbia, TN; (14) grandchildren; (14) great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by (1) son Rick Smith and (1) brother, Edward L. Smith. Glenn worked at Bohn Aluminum in Beardstown, IL for 25 years then worked at Morton Metal Craft in Morton, IL for 24 years. He loved to bowl and play his guitar. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at the Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon until time of service on Saturday at the Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
