Glenn Richard Webb, age 63, entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2025, surrounded by his family, in the comfort of hospice care. He fought a courageous battle against metastatic colon cancer, with the help of his family, friends, and an incredible group of health care providers.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Lisa Blanchette Webb, MD, their beloved children, Sarah and Evan, his brother Randy Webb and his wife Arlene, his step brother Michael Gaddis and his wife Darlene, his step-mother Nadine Webb, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Janet and Raymond Blanchette, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Steve and Pam Blanchette and Diane and John Hammond, and his beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Marilyn Woodford Webb and Richard Webb, and his step- brother John Gaddis.
Glenn was a 1979 graduate of Bunnell High School. There he was a member of the award-winning school marching band as a percussionist. He had a lifelong passion for music. He began drumming at 6 years of age. As a teen, he began performing in rock bands locally. Over the years, he performed in bands covering a wide variety of musical genres such as prog rock, blues rock, fusion, R&B and jazz, to name a few. Most recently he was a member of the prog rock/jam rock band Submarine, on whose website his legendary background screen show videos can be seen. He performed with his brother-in-law Steve in the bands Blue Garage, The Awoken Ghost, and Kold Shot, performed and recorded original music with the Philadelphia-based band In Step, and was a member of local favorites Mama Jama, Electric Mayhem, ZWS, and others.
Glenn was extremely devoted to his family. He supported his wife Lisa as she trained to become a physician. Glenn and Lisa enjoyed many concerts and ski trips together. When starting their family, he opted to become a stay-at-home Dad; he was ahead of his time in that respect. He was an incredibly loving father, providing limitless support to their children, driving them to and from their multiple activities, and attending their games, plays and recitals along with Lisa.
He was an avid bowler (with a 300 game under his belt) and New York Mets fan. He enjoyed attending concerts and Mets games, and embarking on adventurous vacations with his family.
We would like to give special thanks to the caregivers at Bridgeport Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center of Fairfield, Constellation Hospice, Hartford Healthcare at Home, Option Care, and Infusion Health.
We are immensely grateful to the multitude of friends and family for their invaluable support, encouragement and prayers so generously bestowed upon us.
We are extremely proud of Evan and Sarah for their abundant love, courage and strength as they bravely helped their parents in so many ways over the course of these challenging months.

Friends may call on Thursday February 20, 2025 from 4 to 6 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd, Shelton. Lisa, thinking of you when this came up. Our son is also in the same cemetery. So sad that has become a place to visit. It's ok to cry. And take care of yourself and your kids. Charlie

It was always great catching up with you and having all those musical conversations and discussions of our shared love of Yes music. Truly one of the nicest guys I've ever met, gone way too soon. Rest easy, my friend.
