Glenn J. Wilkins

Devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend, Glenn J. Wilkins, 65, of Freehold Township passed away Monday, April 7, 2025. He was born in Red Bank and resided in Colts Neck and Howell Township before living most of his life in Freehold Township.
Glenn was known as "The Stoneman," the name of his masonry business for decades. His meticulous pride of craftsmanship brought joy to many people's lives, creating lasting, physical reminders of his life's work that can be seen throughout New Jersey.
He loved to laugh and spend time with his friends and large extended family, hosting huge parties at his long-time family compound, going to rock concerts, watching every genre of movie and attending sporting events. He was a devoted New York Giants and New York Mets fan. He was an avid athlete who enjoyed working out, football, boxing, golf and fishing. A "gentle giant" with a soft spot for dogs and babies, he had a friendly way of connecting with people and could talk to anyone, anywhere he went in the world.
Glenn was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his father, Robert J. Wilkins, his stepfather, Thomas A. Gunther, and a sister, Michelle Ann Catania.
Surviving are his wife, Maria Wilkins; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Smith; a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Dennis Yosco; his mother, Angelina Gunther; brother, Robert G. Wilkins and Kathleen; his sisters, Gina Georgiano and husband Michael, Angela Rose Helton and husband Jimmy, and Maggie L. Gunther; four grandchildren, Michael Jr., Emerson, Amelia, and Liliana; and nieces and nephews Amanda, Justin, Heather, Ashley, Nicholas, Stephen and Shawn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold on Saturday, April 12 at 9:30 a.m. A gathering will follow at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a celebration of life will follow at All Seasons Diner, 4135 US 9, Freehold from 2 to 5 p.m.
