Glenn H. Wucherpfennig, left this world on July 18, 2024, with the same grace and humor with which he lived his life. Born on December 14, 1943, in the Town of Frankfort, Wisconsin, Glenn's journey through life took him from the fields of his hometown to the hearts of many in Marshfield, Wisconsin, where he took his final bow.
Glenn was known for his ability to fix just about anything mechanical that dared to break. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino, restoring old cars, fixing lawnmowers, creating unique bird feeders or just plain tinkering in the garage.
Glenn cherished his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His marriage to Shirley Yeager, though it ended in divorce, blessed him with three children. Glenn later married Debra Eckes with whom he shared his life since May 3, 2002.
As a father to Renee (Jerome) Meacham of Marshfield, Quint Wucherpfennig of Fountain City, Shane (Angie) Wucherpfennig of Spencer, and Casey (Kim) Foss of Richfield, MN, Glenn liked to tell stories and reminisce about the past. His grandchildren- Corrine (Aaric), Katie (Casey), Cullen, Dylan, Dawson, Lexus, Ian, Isaac, Autumn, Miles, Cilicia and Judson, along with great-grandchildren Waiks and Laiken, were his pride and joy.
Glenn's siblings, Walter (Eileen) Wucherpfennig of Marshfield, David (Nancy) Wucherpfennig of Loyal, Lenora Williams of Marshfield, Lucille Bauer of Marshfield, and Lois Aumann of Loyal, along with brothers-in-law Ron (Mary) Eckes of Marshfield and Garry (Leanne Hildebrandt) Eckes of Crossville, TN, survive him. His canine companion, Toby, was his loyal sidekick, always ready for a treat or a nap, whichever came first.
Glenn's career included working at Skelly Service Station, Windy Hill Foliage, and numerous trucking companies.
Glenn was the kind of guy who could strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere.
Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Reinhold and Martha Wucherpfennig, his sister Carol Sandley, his brother Marvin Wucherpfennig, and brothers-in-law James Bauer, Vic Sandley, Les Williams, and Henry Aumann.
