In Loving Memory
Glenna Jean Baab, 90, went to be with the Lord Thursday morning, September 25, 2025. Glenna Jean was born on January 17, 1935, to the late Cecil Bowling and Georgia Litton at Redwine, Kentucky.
She left us peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and unwavering strength. Her life was a testament to compassion, resilience and a profound impact on everyone she was around. Glenna Jean was a licensed Cosmetologist and had a local beauty shop in Fairborn, OH, for several years. She also received her state real estate licenses. Glenna Jean attended Liberty Worship Church and was a church greeter and very active in the Senior Group. She was one of the original senior counsel members of the Golden Eagles, later to be called Encore Generation. She helped organize and participated in many of the senior activities. Glenna Jean loved to garden. She raised a garden with her mother for many years in Kentucky, during the summer months. Glenna Jean didn’t leave this world without some adventure, she spent a month in Europe, visiting her husband’s family in Germany as well visiting several surrounding historical sites.
During the last year, Glenna Jean has resided at Our Home Assisted Living, there she met many new friends, leaving an impact on many including staff. Glenna Jean is preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life, beloved husband, William E. Baab, of 60 years. One brother, Norman E. Bowling (Marcella), two sisters, Dolly (Carroll) Becraft, Brenda (Kay) Curtner and one niece, Kimberly J. Munday. She is survived by one son, Michael E. (Rhonda) Baab, two granddaughters, Lindsey N. (Dana) Akers, Whitney J. (Matt) Cook, four Great-grandchildren, Grace (Drake), Evan, Landon, Riley, and Brody along with other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 18th, 2025, beginning at 3:00pm, at Liberty Worship Center, 1180 upper Bellbrook Rd. Xenia, OH., where family and friends can gather to share some of your favorite memories, your stories, a time to laugh, to cry and a time to remember this wonderful person who will be greatly missed. Service will follow at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Day City Hospice, 7601 Paragon Rd. Dayton, OH 45459.
