Glenna Hiltbrunner

Glenna Hiltbrunner, 80, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Myers-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1pm at Baptist Temple Church. The family invites those attending services for a lunch from 1130am to 1pm prior to the funeral at Baptist Temple Church. Interment will immediately follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Glenna was born in Big Spring, Texas to Ernest and Ollie Ruth Box. She attended Elbow Elementary School and graduated from Forsan High School. She was salutatorian of her high school class. She married Donald Ray Hiltbrunner on November 9, 1963 in Big Spring. Ray was active-duty Army and they moved to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Ray was transferred to Germany, and Glenna moved back to Big Spring. After his discharge, Ray joined Glenna in Big Spring where they made their home. Ray and Glenna attended church in Big Spring and taught Sunday School classes for many years. Glenna worked at several places, but her favorite was the Big Spring State Hospital returning to work there after her retirement and where she made many dear friends.
Glenna enjoyed watching wildlife at her home and traveling with family. Gardening flowers and vegetables was also a favorite hobby. They filled their freezer with the harvest from the garden. Glenna loved to bake for family and friends. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glenna enjoyed watching all sports and especially the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Texas Rangers. She adored her mini-Aussie, Chester.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Ollie Ruth Box, and her sisters Margaret Hollis and Jeanie Pitts. Glenna is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Hiltbrunner of Big Spring; daughter, Dana Bradford and husband Jay, of Midland, Texas; son, Travis Hiltbrunner and wife Elizabeth, of Wylie, Texas; grandson, Jacob Bradford and wife Sarah, of Midland, Texas; Cailie Corbin and husband, Tyler of Midland, Texas; and 4 great-grandchildren: Oliver and Eden Bradford, Hudson and Hayden Corbin, and one great-granddaughter on the way, Grace Elizabeth Corbin.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Bradford, Tyler Corbin, Tim Marino, Jason Lentz, Eric Winzeler and Tyler Caughron
The family would like to thank Interim Hospice and special caregivers: Margie Palacios and Christina Flores.
Arrangements are under the direction of Myers & Smith Funeral Home and Chapel of Big Spring. The family asks in lieu of flowers to please make donations to Samaritan's Purse.
