Glennis Ray Ruckle passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 91 in Morgantown, WV. He was born to Walter Lysle and Mary Evelyn Himes Ruckle on January 5th, 1934, in New Cumberland, WV.
Glennis's journey encompassed numerous professional and personal ventures. Following a diverse career at Chico Dairy, Sterling Faucet, and WVU Animal Science Farm, he pursued entrepreneurial endeavors that included owning Ruckle Eggs & Cattle Farm.
Glennis served his community in many capacities. He volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and leader at Crescent Hills Bible Chapel, and as a music teacher at CMA Church. Glennis also volunteered his time as a youth worker at Chestnut Ridge Camp, and as a Boy Scout Master for Troop 48 at Seneca School.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Naomi Law Ruckle; his parents: Walter and Mary Evelyn Ruckle; his sisters: Glenna Skags and Emma Miller; his brothers: Ernest "Ted" Ruckle and Walter Ruckle, Jr.; and his granddaughter: Jessica Smith; great-grandson: Braylon Riggins. He is survived by his children: Janet Carr (Joseph) of Fairmont, Jennifer Pena (Gorgonio) of Kemp, Texas, Jennis Biser (Dwayne) of Tennessee, and Janis Ruckle; his sister: Shirley Moore; his brothers: Homer Ruckle and Basil Ruckle; along with his nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 4-7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 10 am with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Following the service, Glennis will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
