Beloved wife of 68 years of Francisco Acosta. Dear mother of Manuel (Kathy) Acosta, Maria Dolores Acosta, Maria (Guadalupe) Cruz, Victor Hugo (Luz Maria) Acosta, Ana Maria (Pedro Romero) Acosta, Graciela (Gustavo) Hernandez, Rita (Marino) Aguirre, and Barbara Teresa (Jorge Renteria) Acosta. Grandmother of 36, and great grandmother of 58. She is also survived by her siblings Jose Fina Moran, Alma Argelia Moran, and Angel Moran.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her children Aureliano Acosta and Barbara Acosta.
Gloria loved spending time with her family and loved to cook for them she was especially known for her potato soup. Her hand knitted gifts will be treasured by her family for generations to come.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd., Plainfield IL 60544. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 8th at 10:30AM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield.
