Gloria Esperanza Antadilla, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday October 1, 2025. Gloria was born on October 22, 1931, in Panama City, Panama.
Gloria dedicated many years of her life to working as a culinary specialist for the Fort Benning Officer's Club. She was not only a skilled cook, but also a nurturing presence whose passion for food brought people together. She was known for feeding anyone who came to her hungry and had a special talent for making meals that would nourish the soul as much as the body. In addition to cooking, Gloria loved to dance. She was a devoted Catholic and her faith was of great importance to her. Gloria's family was truly the pride and joy of her life.
Gloria is survived by her loving daughters Gloria Botello, Edna Botello, Dalys Botello, and Minerva Barrios; her devoted sons Jorge Botello, Omar Botello, and Ricardo Botello; grandchildren Isis Figueroa, Santiago Justo-Botello, Yariza Marin, Ixel Figueroa, Omar Botello, Arelis Botello, Shannida Botello-Cooper, Jovanny Richardson, Jorge Botello, Omar Botello Jr., Katiuwska Botello, Kelsy Botello, and Alina Ayala; and her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Guillermo Portillo and Josefina Antadilla, and her beloved grandson Ameth Alba.
The love she shared with her family and the memories they created together will forever be cherished. Her presence will be deeply missed but her legacy of love, joy, and kindness will live on in the hearts and lives of all who knew her.
