Our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Gloria Ellen Bulk of Millstone Township, New Jersey, was called home on September 11, 2024. Surrounded by her devoted family, she passed peacefully at home.
Born on November 7, 1960, in Suffern, New York, Gloria moved with her parents and siblings to Freehold Township, New Jersey, in 1971. It was there that her passion for nature blossomed. She became deeply knowledgeable about plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers, and her love for nature led her to become a certified nursery and landscape professional, earning her credentials from Rutgers University. Gloria's career began at Bobbink Nurseries, followed by Bulk's Nurseries. Eventually, she and Pete built their own businesses; Blooming Beautiful, Pond Paradise, Gloria's Gardens, and Bulk's Landscaping. Through her work, she shared her love of plants, creating beautiful spaces that brought happiness to countless lives. She found fulfillment in every garden she touched.
Outside of her beloved gardens, the beach was her sanctuary. The sound of the waves, the warmth of the sun, the feel of sand beneath her toes, and the life teeming by the shore brought her peace and contentment. Gloria also had a true love for cooking and sharing her culinary creations. She found so much happiness in making meals for her family and friends, especially her family's favorite Steak Au Poivre and crab. Her kitchen was always a place filled with love, laughter, and good food.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Peter J. Bulk, their life together was rooted in hard work, unending love and laughter; her children, James Peter (Alyssa) and Alexandria Joy (Kirby); her three cherished granddaughters: Makenna, Scarlett, and Lainey Bulk; her siblings and best friends: Ronald, Randall (Linda), and Joy Kowalski (Craig); many nieces, nephews, her dog Chloe, her cat Fat Kitty, and her many chickens (Duck).
She is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Tremblay, her sister Rebecca, her sister-in-law Christine Tremblay, her sister-in-law Jeannette Bulk, her brother-in-law Donald Bulk, and her nephew Ronnie Tremblay.
We believe she has been joyfully reunited in her most perfect place with her loved ones and the pets she adored, including Sasha, all four Hobo's, Sweet Pea, Halo, Lucy, Oliver, and Parrot Auggie. Gloria's warmth and fun-loving spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
With Gloria's love of nature and animals in mind, memorial donations to the animal shelter or rescue organization of your choosing in her name would be appreciated.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held at The Church of the Holy Trinity, The Corner of Third & Monmouth Avenues, Spring Lake, New Jersey on Saturday, September 21st, 11am.

We met Gloria and Pete when our daughters were learning to ride horses. We became fast friends when Ali and Paige started showing their horses. We spent time with the down at their shore house too enjoying Glories cooking with all fresh ingredients. More recently, Gloria and I used to walk at the boardwalk and I tour the beautiful garden she tended nearby. We all loved Gloria and send our deepest condolences to Pete, Ali , James and the family. May God rest her beautiful soul.
