In Loving Memory of Gloria Faye Cook

October 1, 1937 – October 1, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria Faye Cook, who left this world on her 88th birthday, October 1, 2025, at CareOne at Moorestown. Her final moments were as gentle and full of grace as the life she lived, a life devoted to love, family, and the quiet strength of compassion.

Gloria was the heart and soul of her family, a constant source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. She is survived by her three devoted daughters: Lisa (Joel), Linda (Jeff), and Christina (Michael), and her five cherished grandchildren: Justin Brown, Kaitlyn Brown (and her fiancé, Jake), Ryan Devenney (and his wife, Kylie), Kevin Devenney, and Zachary Ross. Their lives are richer, fuller, and stronger because of her presence, and her influence will remain a guiding light for generations to come.

Gloria is reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband of 61 years, James William Cook, whose love was her steadfast companion through life's seasons. She is also preceded in death by her mother, Angela Mancinelli, who passed when Gloria was just nine months old; her father, Michael Yannuzziello; her sister, Maryann Yannuzziello; and her loving stepmother, Josephine DeLorenzo Yannuzziello, who helped raise her with tenderness and care.

To know Gloria was to feel truly seen, heard, and understood. She had an extraordinary gift: the ability to listen not just with her ears, but with her whole heart. Whether you were family, friend, neighbor, or a stranger passing through, she made space for your story, your struggles, and your joy. Her advice was always thoughtful, her words honest yet kind, and her love, fiercely loyal and unwavering.

She found her deepest joy in the simplest of moments: long conversations around the kitchen table, the laughter of her grandchildren, and the warmth of family gathered close. She taught by example, showing those around her how to face life with courage, humor, and compassion. She spoke her truth with grace and always had her family's back, offering strength when it was needed most.

Gloria's legacy is one of deep empathy, resilience, and a quiet power that uplifted everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness rippled through every life she touched, leaving the world undeniably better than she found it.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt gratitude to Gloria's incredible care team at Lighthouse Hospice, Siobhan, Julie, Joan, Shannon, Gloria, and Samia, for their warmth, compassion, and dignity in her final days. We are also deeply thankful for the dedicated staff at CareOne at Moorestown, especially Tim, Deborah, Linda M., Althea, Wilma, and Leslie, who cared for her with tenderness and respect.

All are invited to a memorial Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown, NJ 08520, on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.

In her memory, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Gloria Faye Cook will be dearly missed, endlessly loved, and forever remembered.
