Gloria A. (Gilmour) Cream, 88, of Beverly, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Dobson) and Arnold Gilmour. She was the devoted wife of Frederick P. Cream, with whom she shared 42 years of marriage before his passing.
A graduate of Peabody High School, Gloria began her career at C.B.S. Hytron before dedicating herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother. She was also a compassionate caretaker for many of her family members. Gloria had a passion for roller skating and spent many happy times with friends at the Roller Palace in Beverly. She loved the outdoors and cherished camping, swimming, and boating at her lake house in Maine. She also enjoyed attending Christmas Eve and Super Bowl parties hosted by the Bekeritis family.
Gloria is survived by her son, Dana Cream, and his wife, Cheryl; her daughters, Denise Charette and her husband, Creighton; Dolores Kornblit and her husband, Orin; Deborah Alexander and her husband, Joseph; and Donna Lemelin and her husband, Joseph. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Gilmour; her grandchildren, Angie Cream, Bryan Cream, Scott Alexander, Jenna Elie, Cori Wolfe, Nichole Tobyne, Danae Gitschier, Jake Doane, Jay Theriault, Ivy Charette, and Adam Charette; as well as 16 great-grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Cream, and her brother, Arnold "Skip" Gilmour. She leaves behind two dear friends, Evelyn Levesque and Sandra Antunes.
Gloria's funeral service will be held at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Friday, December 27, at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, December 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Gloria's memory to her great-grandson Camden's specialized school for children with disabilities.
