William M. Conway, 75 of Salem, died on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothea (Tower) Conway.

Bill graduated from Beverly High School in the Class of 1969. After graduation, he obtained his Bachelor's Degree from The University of Massachusetts in Boston, and his Master's in Social Work from Salem State University. Bill was a dedicated Social Worker and in his 45 year career worked with different social services throughout Boston and the North Shore. He was a Social Worker for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health in Boston.

Bill was a dedicated and loving dad. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter whether he was taking her to her youth soccer games when she was younger, or recently, one of their day trips to Rockport or Newburyport. Bill was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history books. He loved music and some of his favorite genres were folk, jazz, classical and soul. He enjoyed going to museums and enjoyed exhibits that featured New England Maritime art. Bill loved to watch football and followed the New England Patriots and the Beverly Panthers. Bill loved animals and had many rescue animals in his life. His most recent were his cats Otis and Domino who he affectionately called "The Boys". Bill will be remembered as a loving and hard working man.

William is survived by his daughter, Molly Conway Scott and her husband Michael of Rockland, ME, and his former wife Karen A. Nee. He is predeceased by his younger brother Michael W. Conway.

A Celebration of Life will be held for William at a later date. Contributions may be made in William's memory to Northeast Animal Shelter. Arrangements by Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. Condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
