Gloria Ann Danas
Gloria Ann Danas, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in a Houston hospital following a brief illness. Gloria was born on July 21, 1951, in Wharton to the late Magdaleno and Martina Garcia Ballejo.
Gloria was educated in Wharton and worked as a cook for Wharton ISD for many years. She also worked as a cook at 9ers in Wharton. She enjoyed a good chulapa game, collecting seashells, shopping and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her partner, Martin Ramirez, daughter, Cynthia Chavez and husband, Gregory, sons, Jimmy Danas, Jr. and wife, Jessica, and Steven Ray Danas, sister, Patsy Ballejo, brothers, Joe Ballejo and Magdaleno Ballejo, III, grandchildren, Alyssa Bustamante and husband, Robert, Chelsea Danas and husband, Anthony Luera, Ashley Danas and husband, A.J. Villasana, Steven Ray Danas, Jr., Brandon Rene Danas, Chase Alan Chavez, Chloe Renae Danas and Samantha Nicole Danas, great grandchildren, Arabella Luera, Athena Luera, Anakin, Kenobi, Raven, and Annalise. Family member Jimmie Danas Sr.
A visitation for Gloria Danas will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, starting at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 10 am at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home with Pastor Luis Alvarado officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton
