Gloria Dodson Obituary
Jean is survived by her children, Cynthia D. McGhee (Kenneth), Gregory William Dodson (Tooie), Brian Lee Dodson (Amy), and Melissa Dawn Dodson; her grandchildren, Shawn Dodson, Megan Dodson, Emily Wines, and Kayla McGhee; her siblings, Billy Snead Atkins (Peggy) and Betty Lou Walter; and her beloved grand-pup, Cody.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis William Dodson; her grandson, Sidney Dodson; and her siblings, James L. Atkins and Jackson Atkins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church, 3748 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, VA, with Pastor Jon Heddleston and Pastor Carl Menefee officiating. Interment will follow at Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Baldwin, Ronnie Dodson, Jason Atkins, Charlie Clark, Dan Ellis, and Kenneth McGhee.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jean's name to the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad, 12 Main St., Sperryville, VA 22740.
