Gloria Gay Fisher
August 18, 1953 – January 21, 2025
Gloria was born in Mogadore, Ohio on August 18, 1953 to Carolyn and Bruce Brown, and she was the youngest of their four children. Gloria is predeceased by her Mom and Dad, sister Glenda, and brother Paul. She is survived by her loving husband, Joe of fifty years, and her son, Joey (AKA-Yoyo), whom she loved beyond measure. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Barot; sisters-in-law, Linda, Priscilla(TJ) and Suzanne and along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gloria's parents moved to Phoenix in 1960, when Gloria was a young child and she graduated from Maryvale High School in Phoenix, AZ. Where she found the "love of her life", Joe in their home economics class in 1971. So, JOE and GLO have been inseparable ever since, with 50+ years of marital bliss. Gloria and Joe welcomed their son, Joey into the world in 1980 and he has been the center of her world ever since. Can't forget the special love Gloria had for all of her dogs that graced their home through the years.
Her most rewarding job was working at Philosophy, where she bonded with so many co-workers for over thirteen years. Throughout her life, Gloria had many friends from her childhood, workplaces, vacation spots, neighbors and church family that she still kept in contact with over the years, and we appreciate the love you have shown today. With her husband, Joe, by her side and Joey tagging along most of the time, they enjoyed their free time swimming, fishing, camping, motorcycle riding (both east and west coast on the mighty GoldWing), or just taking the day for a road trip and of course, spending time in their second home in Pinetop, AZ. Gloria and her family have attended Horizon Community Church since 2008 and she committed her life to her Lord and Savior, Jesus in 2010. As a 21-year breast cancer survivor, Gloria has always had a positive outlook and faith that kept a smile on her face throughout any ordeal that would come before her. Gloria had a kind and loving spirit that shined through any trial she faced, always wanting to put her family first.
Glo will be missed so very much by Joe, Joey, her loving family and friends.
Gloria's Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 - 12:00 pm at Horizon Community Church 14120 North 79th Avenue Peoria, AZ 85381.
