John Thomas "Jack" Yanovich

Jack went home to his Lord and Savior on September 13 surrounded by love, family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Phyllis Yanovich, his wife, Theresa, and his son, Andrei. He is preceded in death by his son, Nikolai, his brother, Bobby and his sister, Judy.

Jack was born and spent the first years of his life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The family relocated to Phoenix in 1971. Jack attended Maryvale High School where he especially enjoyed baseball. He learned to love all that Arizona has to offer, its great outdoors, hunting, fishing and golf. He cherished the time he spent in the woods and on lakes and rivers.

In 1985 Jack met Theresa Hudson and his life was changed and blessed forever. They wed in 1994 and would have been celebrating their 31st anniversary on September 21. They were blessed with the birth of their son, Andrei, in 1999.

Jack was a loyal and hard working employee for Frys Supermarkets for 18 years and for Salt River Project (SRP) for 21 years. At SRP Jack found a passion for computer technology, especially for writing code for programs. He designed a program for training while at SRP and was recognized by the company for his achievements.

However, Jacks true legacy is his devotion to his family and his faith. His dedication to Andrei's growth and development was truly unsurpassed. Weather it was his selfless support of Andrei's hockey activities or his academic endeavors, Jack was there for Andrei unfailingly. Jack was also dedicated to his wife, his parents and his siblings. He set an inspiring example for those who knew him. He was truly a loving son, husband and father.

A celebration of Life will be held October 1, 2025, 1:00PM at Christ Church of the Valley, 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road, Building 400. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to City of Hope.
