68, of St. Petersburg, Fla., transitioned on Dec. 22, 2025. Gloria was President of St. Petersburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She's survived by her husband, Malcolm Flakes Jr.; sons, Malcolm Flakes III, Marlon Flakes (Lillian); daughter, Krystal Flakes-Martin (Daniel); brothers, Eugene McCloud, Tyrone Lucas (Lasonya); sisters, Elaine, Adrienne Lucas, Tortia Jones (Kevin); grandchildren, Marlon Flakes Jr, Gabrielle Mosley, Iyrana Flakes; a host of relatives and friends. Visit., Jan. 2, 5-8 pm, wake, 6-7 pm, Delta Ceremony 7-8 pm and service, Jan. 3, 11 am, both will be held at Bethel Metropolitan MB Church.

I want to always remember laughing with G (I affectionately called her) and how she read resolutions at funeral services at BMBC during my time there.
