Gloria Janette Roberts Hayden
September 25, 1949 – April 20, 2025
With profound love and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Gloria Janette Roberts Hayden, who joined God in heaven on April 20, 2025, in
Greeley, Colorado, at the age of 75. Born on September 25, 1949, in Binghamton, New York. Gloria lived a life full of grace, love,
and unwavering faith. Following her high school graduation, she moved to northern Colorado, where she made her home and spent the rest of her life surrounded by family, friends, and faith. She attended some courses at the University of Northern Colorado but dedicated herself fully to being a homemaker- a role she embraced with joy and purpose, creating a home that overflowed with warmth, laughter, and love.
Gloria had a deep and personal relationship with God, one that guided every step of her life. She spoke with Him daily, trusted Him fully, and lived out her faith with gentleness, strength, and compassion. Her favorite scripture, Psalm 23:1–6, was a source of comfort and hope, and she lived its words with peace and quiet assurance:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Gloria's joy was evident in every aspect of her life. While her deep faith was the foundation of who she was, she also delighted in the simple pleasures and passions that made her days vibrant. She found serenity in gardening, often surrounded by blooming flowers and the warmth
of the sun. With a keen eye for fashion and a love of shopping, she carried herself with natural elegance and a timeless sense of style. Her adventurous spirit shone through in her love of horseback riding, where she felt most free and connected to nature. Music, singing, and dancing filled her soul-whether she was moving to a favorite Elvis tune, dancing with a grandchild in the kitchen, or lifting her voice in joy, her home was always alive with laughter, light, and love. Gloria truly found beauty in every beat of life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend-the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her handwritten notes were legendary-filled with encouragement, beauty, and care-and her words often arrived just when they were needed most.
Gloria shared an extraordinary and unique connection with each of her grandchildren. She saw each of them for exactly who they were, celebrated their individuality, and nurtured a bond with each one that was irreplaceable and full of love, laughter, and support. Her presence in their lives was a gift beyond measure.
She is survived by her children, Dean Cole and Shannon Duplex; her son-in-law, Kyler Duplex; her grandchildren, Kyllen, Tea, Camdon, and Parker Duplex; Dawlton Cole, and Kayla Uribe; and her sisters, Rosemary Mirabito and Donna Brennan, brother-in-law Kim McEntire, and her great grandchildren Charlie, Kinsley, Daniel, and Mason. She was preceded in death by her dear parents, Doris Janette Corgnell and Donald Murray Roberts; her beloved son, Travis Hayden; and her adored brother, Murray Stone.
A Celebration of Life will be held to celebrate Gloria's beautiful, faith-filled life. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor her memory in the way she lived-by showing kindness, writing an encouraging note, dancing to a favorite song, or simply spending a moment talking with God. In remembrance of her, contributions will be gratefully accepted to help cover funeral expenses and to honor Gloria with the love and dignity she gave so freely to others.
She was, and forever will be, the most loving person in the world.
