Born in Berwick, PA, on March 5, 1936, he was the son of the late George W. Gabsewics and Mary (Baron) Gabsewics.
Fred was a graduate of Berwick High School in 1954 and proudly served in the Army and the Marine Reserves. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rowena Seward Gabsewics, of 52 years, brothers Robert Gibson, George Gabsewics, and sister Dorothy Talanca.
He is survived by daughters Beth Gabsewics, and Maryann Anthony (Rickie) and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Bethany Semonelle, two favorite buddies, Bruce Reynolds and Denny Mayer, nieces, nephews and companion Peg Weaver.
All are welcome to a celebration of life for Freddie on April 25 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Indian River Yacht Club, Millsboro. Military honors to be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial cemetery in Georgetown, DE at a later date.
