Mrs. Gloria Elise Hulsey, age 76, of Tallapoosa, GA, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, November 3, 2024. She was born September 19, 1948 in Cleburne County, Alabama to the late Roy Kiker and Mildred Brown Kiker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Homer Hulsey.
Gloria was a devoted Christian, pastor's wife, and member of Providence Baptist Church for many years. She actively supported mission work, enjoyed leading and singing in the church choir, and serving on the decorating committee. Decorating was a true talent of Gloria's and she loved to decorate the church and her home. She supported Homer as he started their family businesses, Hulsey Grave Service, Riverview Memorial Park and Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughters and son in law, Shannon and Scott Diamond, of Rome, GA and Carolyn Cochran, of Tallapoosa; son and daughter in law, Bobby and LeAnne Hulsey, of Tallapoosa; companion of 10 years, Junior Robinson; grandchildren and their spouses, Josh and Callie Hulsey, Jonathan Hulsey, Lindsey and Connor Davis, Hunter and Taylor Ellis, and Hayley Morgan; six great grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Becky and Harold Hulsey, of Tallapoosa; and brother and sister in law, Alan and Lynn Kiker, of Buchanan, GA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 4:00PM in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Rev. David Ginn officiating. Music will be provided by Jeffery Hulsey. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Adam Kiker, Heath Johnson, Shane Hulsey, Ethan Skinner, Shane Smith, Brandon Owens, and Cody Owens. Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery with Dr. Mason Bush presiding.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 2:00PM.
