Sherry Bowman

Mrs. Sherry Lynn Holder Bowman, age 66, of Rockmart, GA, passed away August 18, 2025. She was born July 28, 1959 in Villa Rica, GA to the late Luther M. Holder and Lucille Johns Holder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Hancock and brothers, Dennis Holder and Gene Holder.

Sherry was very strong in her faith and loved being a member at Little Vine Baptist Church in Villa Rica. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Ron Bowman, of Rockmart; son and daughter in law, Joseph and Jennifer Ricks, of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Bailey Ricks and Hunter Ricks (Madalyn); great grandchildren, Sauyer Ricks and Silas, who's still on the way; sisters, Betty Wilson, of Douglasville, Geraldine Adams, of Cedartown, GA, Phyllis Woodad, of Bowdon, GA, Sandra Jenkins, of Temple, Deborah Morgan, of South Carolina, and Crystal Windom, of Augusta, GA; and brother, Donnie Holder, of Temple.

Celebration of life will be held, Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 12:30 PM EST from Little Vine Baptist Church in Villa Rica, Ga.

Aquamation services will be provided by Miller Funeral Home.
