Gloria Ballestero Keating

Gloria Ballestero Keating passed away at her residence on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born in San Antonio, TX and was a resident of LaPlace, LA . Gloria was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Ladies Altar Society and was a volunteer at the St. Joan of Arc Thrift Shop for many years. Gloria loved her family more than anything.

Beloved wife of the late Malcolm "Snapbean" Keating. Loving mother of Ruben Keating (Andree), Cyndy Cambias (Sid), Crystal Vicknair (Henry, the late David Vicknair), and Tammi Keating (Ricky). She was a grandmother to 7 grandchildren, Kelly Uddo (Paul), Michael Keating, Jenna Schexnaydre (Bret), Christina Cambias Ledet, Buddy Cambias (Nicole), Alex Vicknair (Lindsey), and Justin Vicknair (Kristen). Gloria was also the proud great grandmother to Sgt. William Ledet, USMC, Bryce Ledet, Bailey Walters, Sophia Uddo, Joseph Uddo, Colt Vicknair, Remy Vicknair, Brielle Cambias, Gage Cambias, Raelynn Vicknair, Westin Vicknair, Bale Schexnaydre, and Crew Schexnaydre. Great great grandmother of Amiyah and Magnolia Ledet. Daughter of the late Juanita Maldonaldo and Martin Ballestero. Sister of Irma Moreno, Sammy Luna and the late Richard Ballestero, Josie Hernandez, Oralia Wong, Fred Garcia, and Paul Garcia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St., LaPlace, LA on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Visitation will be held in church from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
