Praying- Mom was always Praying!
GLORIA ANN WILHELM MATSON (& later in life Matson-Zapf), was born on September 8, 1927. She died on December 26, 2024.
Gloria's kind parents were Claire and Herald.
Naturally book smart, Gloria graduated Summa cum laude in Accounting at University of Miami. While in college she met and married Duffield Walker Matson, Jr. She became a mom of four and raised us four (both parents having been an only child). She managed finances and our educations.
Gloria loved plants & enjoyed the outdoors. Her many travels included pilgrimages to beloved Saint destinations. She was member of the Marion movement of priests. She remained a gracious and kind lady throughout her life. Always generous in her prayers, Gloria was a devout prayer warrior! We are now here today praying for her.
God Bless YOU Mom!
Gloria is survived by her four children. She had twelve grandchildren and has six great-grandchildren: a son, Duffield Walker Matson III (wife Sally), daughters Malone (& her children Fera June & Clyde Walker), Emery, Morgan, Hallery, Hunter, (predeceased by son Walker); a daughter, Suzanne M Matson Kromrey, daughter Kacine, (& her children Jade & Charli Rose), son Kyle (& his children Lochlan & Lagan) ; a son, David (wife Anita), sons Parker, (predeceased by son Mathew); & a son Arthur (wife Mona), sons Nick, Nathan.
