John J. Irace, 93, of Stuart Florida, died Saturday August 30.

He was born to the late Joseph and Mary Irace on February 21, 1932, in the Bronx, NY. John graduated from Evander Childs High School in 1950. He married Joyce Cornacchio in 1954 and they lived in Eastchester, NY and then the Bronx, NY before locating to New City, NY in 1963. In 1994, after retirement, he relocated to Palm City, Florida.

They moved to Stuart, Florida in 2024. John was a professional baseball player in the Detroit Tigers farm chain in 1951,1954 and 1955.

In 1952 and 1953, John served as a member of the 109th infantry of the US Army.

After the conclusion of his baseball career, John became a professional lithographer and a dedicated husband and father to his three children.

John was an avid NY Yankees fan. He loved playing softball, especially when he had the opportunity to play on a team with his brothers and coached by his dad. But his true joy came from coaching and watching his own children's baseball and softball games.
