Dr. Gloria Ann (Lay) Miller, born December 29, 1947, in Joplin, Missouri, passed peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved daughter of Elmer and Ina (Callahan) Lay and a shining example of grace, determination, and devotion.
A proud graduate of Neosho High School (Class of 1965), Gloria pursued higher education with passion and perseverance. She earned her Associate Degree from Crowder College, continued her studies at Missouri Southern State University, and ultimately achieved her Doctor of Pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. On June 10, 1966, Gloria married her soulmate, Gary Gordon Miller, in Neosho, Missouri. Together, they built a loving home and were blessed with three daughters who became the joy of her life.
Gloria's faith anchored her-she was a longtime member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Neosho, where she found strength, community, and joy in worship. She was also a creative spirit who loved singing with her family, painting vivid works of art, decorating beautiful cakes, and cheering on her grandchildren at their events. Her Yorkies, Gracie and Addie, were her constant companions and a cherished part of her daily life.
