Gloria Jean Oxier, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, November 19, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. She was born May 26, 1977, to Kathryn (Harris) Allen.
In addition to her mother, Kathryn, Gloria is survived by her daughters, Jordan (Steven) Lyon, Shelby (Nathan) Willetts, McKenzie (Eli) Townsend; six grandchildren, Jaloria, Anthony, Steven, Morgan, Madelyn, and Amelia; sister, Ronda Oxier; and love of her life, Sonny Townsend.
She is preceded in death by her two stepfathers, Norval Allen and Harvey Young; and sister, Pamela Thompson.
Gloria attended Minford High School. She loved to do crosswords puzzles and play Bingo. She was a home body and loved her grandkids and her dog "Gunner" above everything else.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2023, from 11-1 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Vinnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
