Gloria G. Sampson, age 83, of Butler, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Country Gardens Assisted Living.
Born to the late Hugh Gilson and Bernalene Gaultney, Gloria lived a life rooted in Christ, demonstrating compassion, service, and faith. A dedicated registered nurse, she devoted her professional life to the care and well-being of others. Gloria was also a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church, where she lovingly shared her musical talents by playing the piano-a role she held with quiet grace and deep commitment.
She is survived by her son, Peter Nickie Sampson (Christie) of Franklinton, Louisiana; her daughter, Mindy Sampson of Butler; her sister, Leisa Welch (Billy) of Butler; her three grandchildren, Nikki Kiris (Chris), Tori Carpenter (Cody), and Brian Sampson; and two cherished great-grandsons. Gloria's nurturing spirit and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International or IN Faith, 145 John Robert Thomas Drive, Exton, PA 19341. Please specify the recipients, Sam and Ronni Judd.
