Mrs. Gloria Rose Semrow (Kandzora), age 82, of Oshkosh, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024, Gloria was born on December 16, 1941 in Waukesha, WI to Ervin Kandzora and Evelyn Motyka.
She graduated from High School in Homewood, IL. Shortly after graduating she moved back to Wisconsin and on May 16, 1960, she married her beloved husband of 64 years, Alfred Semrow at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin, WI. Gloria went back to school while working as a switchboard operator. Upon receiving a Computer Science certificate from WCTC, she had a successful career as a computer IT specialist until she and Al retired in 2003. They then moved to Omro, WI where they enjoyed life at their beautiful retirement home on Lake Butte des Morts. She loved cooking, playing card games, trips to the casino and most of all hosting her children and grandchildren for fun-filled adventures. Recently, they moved to the Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh where she developed strong friendships with the staff and residents.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband Alfred Semrow; her sons, Todd (Mary) Semrow, David Semrow (Jamie Plautz), and Greg (Sheryl) Semrow. Her grandchildren; Mitchell (Marin) Semrow, Morgan Semrow, Max Semrow (Meghan Mieras), Alan Semrow, Katie Semrow (Jake Beckman) and Alex Semrow; her great-grandchildren, Myles and Madison Semrow; her sister Carole (Mark) Anderson and many other family members and friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends
A time of visitation will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, with a memorial service immediately following at: Fiss & Bills – Poklasny Funeral Home (865 S. Westhaven Dr. Oshkosh, WI).
