Elaine A. Semrow

Elaine A. Semrow, age 91, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home on April 17, 2025.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Rev. Steven Weller will officiate. A visitation will take place from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, and from 10:00am until the time of service at church on Thursday. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
Elaine was born on July 8, 1933, in Wisconsin Rapids to Edward and Loretta (Gamma) Arendt. Elaine married Richard E. Semrow at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. They were married for 63 years, until Richard's passing in 2016. Together they had two sons, Rick and Pat.
Elaine was hired by her two cousins, Norbert and Charles Arendt, at the Doctors Clinic. After being employed there for 40 years, Elaine had many happy memories working with great doctors and staff.
Elaine was a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Aspirus Riverview Hospital Auxiliary, Chamber of Commerce Management Club, Serra Club, and Sunrise Rotary Club. She also served on many boards of directors including Wisconsin Rapids Arts Council and MSTC in Marshfield.
Elaine is survived by her children, Rick (Irma) Semrow and Patrick Semrow; grandchildren, Connie (David) Bohn and Curtis Semrow; step-grandson, Gabriel (Megan) Dorame; great-grandchildren, Natalie and Ryan Bohn and Lauren and Evelyn Semrow; sister, Jean (Mike) Metcalf; sister-in-law, Marjorie Arendt; and nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Edward and Loretta Arendt; brother, Donald Arendt; and sister-in-law, Kathryn and her husband Lloyd Schmidt.

Elaine was truly a wonderful women, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She thought of others before herself, always. We are blessed to have so many wonderful years and memories together. We love you!
